Merry Christmas!

Well I must admit, it has been quite a while since I last updated the blog. To all three of my faithful readers, I'm sorry! I have already made a little resolution to be a better blogger in 2010(more on that later!)
We had a wonderful first Christmas with our beautiful girl. We feel so blessed to have shared the holiday with our wonderful families. It was great to be able to see everyone and Kaelin was very spoiled by her grandparents, aunts, uncles and counsins. Thank you to all of you for celebrating Kaelin's first Christmas with us!

5 Months!

Another month has flown by! This month was very special and eventful with Kaelin accomplishing many milestones. She started eating solid foods, sits up independently and the last week before turning 5 months old, she began sleeping a consistent 12 hours at night! We are so proud of our baby girl!

First Snow~

On Saturday night, we had our first touch of snow this winter. Considering it was 70* just a few days before, it was a very unexpected surprise! Kaelin and I went out into the snow on Sunday to do a little playing. Hope you enjoy the pics!

Sitting Pretty!

We have a sitter on our hands! Right before Thanksiving, Kaelin learned to sit all by herself! It is amazing, she is pretty sturdy and only weebles a little bit! We are such proud parents!

Cereal.... Mmmm?

At Kaelin's 4 month doctor appointment (13lbs, 11oz!) we got the go ahead to try solids. So the very same day we tried rice cereal. Kaelin wasn't too sure about it.

So we tried again and Kaelin decided she would rather eat the box!

Next, we tried oatmeal, which got somewhat of a better response

Today we tried sweet potatoes....

One Year Ago...

was the day that we found out that we were expecting! It is amazing how your life can change in a year. How do you measure a year?

In daylights, in sunsets, in midnights, in cups of coffee.
In inches, in miles, in laughter, in strife.

Tubby Time!

Kaelin absolutely loves her tubby time! She has learned how to splash and play and even holds onto her rubber duckie now! It is almost time to move her tub into the big tub upstairs before we need to replace the kitchen floor due to water damage!

Trick or Treat!

This Halloween was not very different from last Halloween surprisingly enough. We still had less than a dozen trick-or-treaters ( a whopping 3 kids!), Rocky still barked everytime anyone walked by and I was still in bed by 9:30pm.
Last year on Halloween I was very newly pregnant (we didn't even know yet!) and was totally exhausted. This year, I was again exhausted, but now from keeping up with my precious little pumpkin!
Kaelin had a wonderful Halloween! It was a beautiful day and we spent the day running errands, and even visited Daddy and Grandpa at work. Our special surprise was that Kev was able to leave the store for a little while and have lunch with us! I did unfortunately misplace my brand spankin new Coach sunglasses which were a gift from my mom for my birthday. I am soo sad about this, but praying hard to St. Anthony that they will be found!
Once we were home, Kaelin got suited up in her cute pumpkin outfit and we took a few pictures outside with the leaves!

Who's That Hiding in the Pumpkin Patch?

This past Sunday was such a beautiful day, that Kaelin and I walked down to Flint Farm to get a pumpkin. It was a tough choice, but I think that I brought home the best pumpkin of all!
