Back to Work

Last Thursday was a very tough day in our house. Mommy had to go back to work. :-(
It has been a crazy transition (hence my lack of opportunity to blog) but we have finally gotten into a little bit of a routine. Last Thursday and Friday, Kaelin spent the day with Grandpa and Daddy respectively. She had great days and did very well taking her bottles.
This week Kaelin had her first daycare experience! On Monday and Tuesday she went to Kathy's house where she will be 3 days a week from now on. Both days were wonderful! She was a very happy, smiling baby when I picked her up and was a tired girl from all the playing she did! Kaelin also rolled from her back to her belly for the first time while at Kathy's! Yay! Here is a cute pic from her first day of daycare!

Kaelin's Baptism

Thank you to all of our family and friends that we able to join us for Kaelin's baptism a few weeks ago! We had a wonderful day and a wonderful reason to celebrate! So what if she was the only baby out of seven to cry in church? She was proclaiming the word of God! Haha! Here are a few of many wonderful pictures from that special day!

The Big Apple

On Thursday we went with Grandpa and Mimi Fernandes to the Big Apple in Wrentham. http://www.thebigapplefarm.com/
The Big Apple is a farm where you can pick your own apples and blueberries as well as a huge store where you can watch them make apple cider, apple donuts and sort the apples to put them into bags. It is a really cool place and it was always one of my favorite fall activities when I was younger!
Kaelin had a wonderful time at the Big Apple, she got to see the train that rides around the store, all the blueberry bushes and the orchard full of apple trees. She was even able to pick out an apple pie and some apples to bring home to Daddy! He was very jealous that he wasn't able to come!
We can't wait to go again next year!

10 Weeks!

This Wednesday, Kaelin was 10 weeks old!! I can hardly believe that it has been ten weeks since my baby girl was born. Here are a few cute pics that we took yesterday! Look how strong she is!

Labor Day!

On Monday we celebrated the official end of summer by taking a drive that Kevin used to take on Labor Day weekend. We went to visit Roger Williams, the home of all Kev's "good" stories! Now as you all know, I am a Stonehill snob. Any school that isn't the "Hill" is probably inferior, not as much fun, not as beautiful etc. Well, I have to admit that I was wrong. Roger Williams was an absolutely gorgeous campus, right near the beautiful Narragansett Bay. Since Kevin graduated there has been a lot of building, but he was still able to show us where he lived, where he went to class, and where the rugby team played. He was a very good tour guide! We even walked down to the base of the Mt. Hope bridge to take a look at the boats going by! Too bad we only got one picture before our camera died!

After leaving Roger Williams, we went out to lunch at Aiden's in downtown Bristol and then sat by the water and watched the boats as Kaelin had her lunch. It was such a beautiful day and a wonderful end to our special summer!

Playing Hooky!

Well today is the first day of school for all the Norton teachers and Kaelin and I are playing hooky! I am soo happy that my maternity leave was approved for 12 weeks. I will be returning to school on September 24, and Kaelin will be going to day care 3 days a week and spending one day with Daddy and one day with Grandpa Fernandes.
I am going to enjoy every extra minute!
